The Faculty of Civil Engineering-Skopje, as the only institution which offers high education on 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycle of studies in Civil Engineering, Geodesy and Geotechnical Engineering in Macedonia, has an obligation to educate highly qualified staff who will be able to perform tasks and develop trends in the professional area with their skills and competences. The fulfillment of this obligation, among other things, requires cooperation with construction companies and institutions. The Faculty of Civil Engineering has always been and will remain open for cooperation, open to all positive ideas and development plans that can contribute to the quality of studies, vocational guidance and shaping of future engineers.

The Foundation for students’ scholarships is one of the forms and the possibilities for cooperation with construction companies and institutes for the purpose of achieving the common goals.

The Foundation was established by a decision taken at the 309 session of the Educational – Scientific Council at the Faculty of Civil Engineering on 20.05.2004. The basic goals and objectives of the Foundation are:

– providing better conditions for the students at the Faculty of Civil Engineering,

– scholarships to be an additional incentive for successful studying and providing quality professional staff capable to meet the challenges of modern construction industry,

– the Foundation to be a forum through which companies from the construction industry will be able to express their views on the formation of new personnel according to their current needs.

In the absence of construction companies and institutes, and in order to motivate the best students, the Faculty of Civil Engineering – Skopje awards scholarships from its own resources. Every year, the ceremony of awarding of the scholarships is performed on October 6, the Day of Civil Engineering.
